You know a person is passionate about something when in their spare time they are practicing a skill with the goal of perfecting it.

This is exactly the case for Taleta, who got into the hair and makeup industry at the beginning of the year and now finds herself pouring hours into mastering braids and

upstyles on her days off.

When she’s not elbow deep in style magazines and hair tutorials on YouTube, she’s dreaming of adventure; with a long bucket list of travel destinations to get through and not much getting in her way.

Taleta loves the hair and makeup industry because of how creative it is, as well as the opportunity it affords her to meet such great people every day!

Why did you get into hairdressing?

I wanted to take some time off before I started uni. Once I started, I fell in love with the creative side of the industry, as well as the chance you get to meet such wonderful people.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

I went skydiving in New Zealand when I was 10 years old.

What does your name mean?

I don’t know what it means, but I know my mum heard it one day when she was working in a bank – and she loved it so that’s what she named me!

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Paris.

Favourite food?

Potato bake.

Most annoying habit?

Apparently I tap my nails – all the time!

What’s one of your lifelong dreams?

To one day join the Police Force.
